Being a 3rd generation miner you could say tunnelling is in my blood, having worked on small and major tunnelling jobs throughout Ireland and the uk for various companies starting out in pit bottom and working my way up to miner, lead miner and then to running jobs myself, I really enjoyed the challenge and the responsibility so I started subcontracting some of the work myself then I set up leitir tunnelling in 2016 since then we have gone from strength to strength winning a major contract to install 400 meters of 1.2m pipe jacking and 5 shafts, we are constantly reinvesting in our equipment and staff, embracing new technologies and techniques.
